Light distribution control and design freedom
A defining feature of Bright SL is the shielding cap, created to control the light output and eliminate direct glare. The light spreads across the surface as a grazing wash, making spaces more legible for users while maintaining high visual comfort. Bright SL’s configuration ensures effective pathway illumination, avoiding upward light spill and helping to preserve the quality of the night-time environment.
Part of Luce&Light's established Bright family of recessed fixtures, Bright SL has evolved within a comprehensive system of versions and light distributions, offering designers exceptional flexibility and extensive compositional freedom.
The family features numerous light distributions, including 180° and 360° radial outputs, multi-beam versions and four-way configurations with 4×55° and 4×85° beams. The different optics allow the lighting effect to be tailored to the architectural context, creating subtle, continuous light patterns on surfaces. In addition to in-ground installation, the step light can also be installed in walls, creating striking lighting effects and further expanding the range of applications.
Materials and advanced resistance to external agents
All Bright SL fixtures are manufactured exclusively from AISI 316L stainless steel, a material whose exceptional corrosion resistance makes it ideal for outdoor applications, even in demanding environments such as coastal locations, spas, urban settings exposed to pollution, and mountain resorts where de-icing salts are used.
To further enhance the material’s durability and surface quality, the stainless steel is finished with Luce&Light’s proprietary AC19 treatment. Through a special treatment of the outer layers, the process compacts and refines the surface, increasing its resistance to atmospheric exposure and mechanical stress. The result is a fixture designed to deliver durability and reliability, even when exposed to salt spray, sulphur, abrasive agents and aggressive cleaning products. The treatment also gives the steel a uniform satin finish that enhances its appearance.

Designed for permanent outdoor use, Bright SL combines compact dimensions with exceptional robustness. Its construction and material specifications mean that the step light achieves IP65 and IP68 ratings, and IK10 mechanical resistance, ensuring outstanding reliability and safety even in particularly challenging environments, including seafront applications, spas and wellness facilities, and installations exposed to high humidity or temporary standing water.
The range also incorporates IPS (Intelligent Protection System), Luce&Light’s patented technology designed to safeguard fixtures against water ingress and electrical faults, improving long-term reliability and reducing maintenance requirements.
