Tokyo’s exclusive business and high-fashion shopping district of Ginza is home to one of Salvatore Ferragamo flagship stores. Ferragamo is one of the world’s leading companies in the luxury sector, and the store covers a total area of approximately 600 square metres. It is the Florentine brand’s largest store in Japan today.

The external facades have recently been the subject of a renovation project in which Salvatore Ferragamo HQ Store Planning collaborated with the Milanese lighting design and consultancy Flux cs, in a well-established synergistic relationship that has been developing lighting concepts in the retail sector for some years now.

As per the project requirements, the lighting fixtures were equipped with mounting systems adapted to the Japanese anti-seismic regulations.

The RIO 2 outdoor linear profiles with diffuse optics were supplied in different bespoke lengths, so they could be matched up with the geometric segments in the facade.

From a qualitative point of view, the L&L fixtures were highly valued for their light uniformity.

The exterior walls are divided into areas that are linked to a control system that creates different lighting scenes throughout the day and the different seasons.
