Shut down waste, turn the culture! Myths of love by candlelight LED light


Friday, February 14, 2014 the National Gallery of Palazzo Spinola participated at the event launched by Caterpillar transmission of RAI Radio 2. The initiative, which is dedicated this year to museums, invited to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the campaign in their own rooms with gestures and initiatives related to energy conservation.

In this context, the National Gallery of Palazzo Spinola offered to exceptionally light out traditional Lounge Galeotti,  from 17.30 to 19.30 first with the light of the candles and then by an LED light thanks to the collaboration of Light&Light and thanks to the architect. Mirella Vivioli, who curated the project.

In Valentine's Day so the public could experience the evocative candlelight to that of the most advanced technology of the LED source appreciate the effects on the gilding of wood and stucco, but especially on the vault frescoes by Sebastiano Galeotti depicting The Marriage of Cupid and Psyche, an ideal subject for the day traditionally devoted to emphasize "the lovers". This and the choices made by Maddalena Doria to renew, between 1734 and 1736, and in particular of this living room furniture will speak to the public on specialized museum staff.
