Krill and Krill Track with beam shaper technology: new versions for indoor lighting in museums, retail and hospitality

Share

Luce&Light is expanding its Krill family with the introduction of new indoor projectors with beam shapers, equipped with Light Shaper and Light Shaper Zoom systems to shape light with sharp, precise contours. Available in three sizes (Krill 1.5, 2.5 and 3.5), and in a practical track version with 48Vdc adaptor, these compact fixtures feature a clean design with no visible cables and a pared-back body. They meet the needs of lighting designers, museum curators and hospitality professionals who want to highlight artworks, products and interiors with impeccable light control.

Shaping light with uncompromising precision

The new Krill fixtures are fitted with Light Shaper and Light Shaper Zoom systems, which enable the light to be shaped with the utmost precision, creating beams with sharp contours and no spill. This isn’t just about illumination but about fashioning light – adapting it to the shape of an artwork, an exhibit, an architectural detail or a decoration, for example, for precisely targeted accent lighting exactly where it is required.

Using a multi-optical system that’s adjustable and freely rotatable on its axis, the beam can be shaped into diverse geometries: squares, rectangles, trapezoids, rhombi, semicircles or irregular quadrilaterals of any kind. This ensures perfect framing even at very short distances, making it ideal for environments such as museums, galleries and retail spaces – anywhere where details are paramount.

The result is high-impact lighting: projection is precise, with no spill light or glare; the background remains in shadow while the subject stands out strongly and clearly, guiding the viewer’s gaze without distraction.

Ease of use and maximum flexibility

With Krill, switching from a shaped beam to a circular one is immediate and tool-free. In just a few steps, the beam shaper reverts to a rotationally symmetrical beam, ensuring maximum versatility in ever-changing exhibition contexts.

The four-shutter system makes it easy to precisely design and adjust the illuminated area: the framing mechanism can even be moved and rotated with a single hand.

This convenience is a real benefit for museum curators and lighting designers, who can adjust light output quickly and autonomously. The flexibility makes Krill fixtures perfect for museums and retail spaces, where displays and layouts frequently change, and the lighting must adapt just as quickly.
