When architecture meets environments exposed to harsh weather and aggressive agents, every construction detail matters. In these settings, lighting must do more than enhance a space: it must deliver long-term reliability while maintaining the same performance and appearance.
These requirements led to the development of Maris, a new line of single- and double-beam outdoor wall-mounted fixtures created to illuminate facades, entrances, arcades and pathways with elegance and precision. Compact and discreet, Maris creates welcoming atmospheres without dominating the space.
In the double-beam version, the ability to combine different beam spreads for upward and downward illumination further expands design freedom. It transforms light into a tool for highlighting architectural volumes and details, guiding people through a space and improving pathway safety.
The light that stands up to corrosion
Material selection lies at the heart of the design. Maris is made of AISI 316L stainless steel and glass to withstand particularly demanding environmental conditions, where salt spray or aggressive chemicals, combined with moisture, can compromise products not adequately engineered for such exposure.
The combination of AISI 316L stainless steel and AC19®, a proprietary surface treatment developed by Luce&Light to improve the material’s performance, gives Maris high corrosion resistance, mechanical strength and durability. This makes it suitable not only for coastal locations, spas, sulphurous thermal environments and areas exposed to chlorine spray but also for mountain regions, where de-icing salts and low temperatures constantly challenge materials, and polluted urban environments, where durable finishes are essential to preserving appearance and performance over time.

The fixture’s IP66 rating further enhances reliability, providing complete protection against dust and resistance to powerful water jets, including those used in marine environments and around swimming pools.
Design freedom and lighting control

Available in single- and double-beam versions, Maris gives designers the freedom to shape the light to each space’s needs. In the double-beam configuration, designers can select different beam spreads for the upper and lower light sources, creating customised lighting effects and adapting light distribution to the project’s aesthetic and functional requirements.
The range includes a choice of symmetrical and asymmetrical optics, which can be combined in the double-beam versions. This flexibility makes it possible to illuminate pathways and walkways with controlled downward beams, or to highlight vertical surfaces and architectural structures by directing light upwards. The optics minimise unwanted light spill beyond pergolas and canopies, helping to preserve the night sky.
Visual comfort is another key feature of the collection. Recessed optics reduce direct views of the light source, while the honeycomb louvre accessory provides additional glare control.
Compact design
With clean lines and compact dimensions, Maris integrates naturally into different contemporary architectural styles. Wall mounting provides effective illumination without encroaching on the space, making it ideal for facades, entrances and arcades. It is also suitable for outdoor pathways, where the light guides people through the area while maintaining a clean appearance and leaving spaces open and easy to use.
The family comprises three sizes, 50, 70 and 100 mm, and is available in 24 Vdc versions. The Maris 2.1 and Maris 3.1 models are also available in 230 Vac.
Colour temperatures range from 2200K to 4000K, with CRI >90 for excellent colour rendering and a natural perception of the materials lit.
The range is also available in painted stainless steel finishes in white, corten and anthracite, designed to complement a variety of architectural settings.

A sure solution for every outdoor project
Whether highlighting the facade of a coastal residence, illuminating the approach to a hospitality venue or lighting wellness areas and outdoor spaces exposed to harsh environmental conditions, Maris combines corrosion resistance, precise light control and seamless architectural integration.
In the 24Vdc versions, in-line dimming also allows light intensity to be adjusted to suit project requirements and different times of day, offering more flexible lighting management.
Built to last in the most demanding outdoor environments, Maris marries the robustness of stainless steel with the flexibility of light tailored to individual project requirements.
